Widowcare Foundation is a Non-Governmental Development Organization of over two decades with Headquarters in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.

WIDOWCARE FOUNDATION

We are seeking applications from suitably qualified candidates to fill existing vacancies listed and described below. Widowcare Foundation is an equal opportunity employer with no room for smoke screen.

GROUP INTERNAL AUDITOR.

Education:                                  B.Sc or its equivalent in Accounting, additional qualification is an advantage and must be computer literate.

Experience:                                Minimum of 2 years.

Age:                                             30 – 45 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

Duties:

The Group Internal Auditor shall be in-charge of all the establishments in the group. He shall report directly to the Director (Finance and Administration).

◊ S/He shall be in-charge of appraising the internal controls established within the group.

◊ S/He checks to ensure that proper and effective records are maintained to check-mate sharp practices and fraudulent activities.

♦ S/He ensures that appropriate persons (staff) are carrying out regular reconciliation of Bank statements and other relevant accounts.

♦ S/He makes out monthly report of his/her activities and findings to the Director, Finance and Administration.

◊ S/He does any other related jobs assigned to him by the Board.

◊ S/He initiates the development of appropriate control tools.

SUB – ACCOUNTANT.

 Education:                                 B.Sc or its equivalent in Accounting and must be Computer Literate.

Work Experience:                  Minimum of 2 years.

Age:                                            25- 35 years.

Salary Package:                      Negotiable.

Duties:
The Assistant Accountant will be reporting directly to the Group Accountant who will supervise and co-ordinate their activities.

◊ S/He is to keep and maintain basic accounting records such as cashbook, purchase book, sales book and other ancillary records in their various operational outfits.

◊ S/He is also to maintain and keep under their custody documents such as payment vouchers, receipts, invoices and other financial documents.

♦ S/He is to keep the records such that they will prepare monthly reports particularly for Widowcare NGO, Shiloh Hall, Micro Credit and Dream-line Supermarket.

♦ S/He should prepare half yearly profit and loss and the annual financial statements as appropriate.

◊ S/He notes that the Micro – credit accounts are very peculiar and should be treated as such.

◊ S/He handles all other recording matters in accordance with their peculiarities.

SECRETARY.

Education:                                  B.Sc or its equivalent in Secretarial Administration, Office Technology etc and must be computer literate.

Experience:                                Minimum of 2 years experience in same/similar position in a financial institution.

Age:                                             Not more than 35 years of age.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

Duties:
S/He is the office manager and must be familiar with the following responsibilities.

◊ S/He maintains mail movement register.

◊ S/He maintains a functional file registry.

♦ S/He is responsible for articulating draft letters and memos for the Chief Executive Officer.

♦ S/He must have the capacity to arrange the office in a presentable manner at all times.

◊ S/He controls visitors to the Chief Executive Officer.

◊ S/He acts as the note taker/secretary in every meeting and develops minute with action points as and at when due.

♦ S/He arranges meetings with and for the Chief Executive Officer.

♦ S/He arranges travels and other official engagements of the Chief Executive Officer.

◊ S/He manages official correspondences of the Chief Executive Officer.

◊ S/He maintains imprest account as assigned by the CEO.

S/He performs any other duty assigned to him/her by the Chief Executive Officer.

CREDIT OFFICERS.

Education:                                WASC, OND or HND or equivalent.

Experience:                              Minimum of 1 year.

Age:                                            25 – 35 years.

Salary Package:                      Negotiable

Duties:

◊ S/He reports directly to the Branch Manager.

◊ S/He keeps records of the groups under him or her.

♦ S/He collects cash (Loan repayments) from his or her groups and updates individual loan recipients Ledger.

♦ S/He hands over cash collected after being thoroughly checked to the Sub-Accountant Widowcare Foundation.

◊ S/He facilitates and participates in the weekly operation meetings with his/her groups.

◊ S/He makes regular report covering the weekly operations to the Branch Manager.

♦ S/He does any other duty assigned to him or her by relevant authorities of Widowcare Foundation.

♦ S/He must collect his/her member’s weekly savings and loan repayment on meeting days and in a meeting place.

◊ S/He is responsible for maintenance of credit officer’s daily registers, summary register, and daily collection sheet and members passports correctly on daily, weekly and monthly basis.

◊ S/He must know the members shops and residence before loan disbursement.

♦ S/He must follow up on clients after loan disbursement to ensure that the credit is properly utilized and recovered.

PURCHASER

Education:                                  Minimum of a Diploma in Purchasing & Supply, Marketing or Business Administration.

Experience:                                Minimum of 1 year.

Age:                                             Not more than 50 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

Duties:

◊ S/He is responsible for the market survey for our companies, schools and organizations.

◊ S/He purchases materials as approved by relevant authorities.

♦ S/He keeps records of transactions in appropriate format.

♦ S/He articulates and presents report of his/her transactions.

◊ S/He performs any other duty that may be assigned him/her by the authorities.

COOKS.

Education:                                  Minimum of FSLC.

Experience:                                Minimum of 2 years.

Age:                                             Not more than 40 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

Duties:

STEWARDS

Education:                                  Minimum of FSLC.

Experience:                                Minimum of 2 years.

Age:                                             Not more than 30 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

Duties:

DRIVER

Education:                                  Minimum of FSLC with a valid driving license.

Experience:                                Minimum of 2 years.

Age:                                             Not more than 35 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

CARPENTERS

Education:                                  Minimum of FSLC.

Experience:                                Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship.

Age:                                             Not more than 35 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.

WELDERS

Education:                                  Minimum of FSLC.

Experience:                                Minimum of 3 years post apprenticeship.

Age:                                             Not more than 35 years.

Salary Package:                        Negotiable.
